Stumped on what to wear to all your upcoming summer weddings? Today I’m sharing 3 great options — and the best part is you don’t have to commit to actually owning them (commitment-phobes rejoice).
As I’ve been (working toward) minimizing my closet and making it more sustainable, the norm of buying new dresses for events has been a big obstacle and something I want to avoid whenever possible.
I signed up for Rent the Runway’s Update subscription (which means I choose 4 pieces to borrow each month) in January to keep my closet sustainable while staying fresh and uncluttered. It’s been a great solution for my itch to shop and I’ve gotten to wear items that would never be in my budget otherwise.
Here are three perfect options for wedding guest attire that you can rent from Rent the Runway.
Striped Pastel Jumpsuit
Nothing says “ready for the open bar” like two independently moving legs, so jumpsuits are a solid go-to in the wedding guest department. Also, since dresses are the standard for women’s wedding attire, a jumpsuit will stand out in the best way. This piece normally retails for $174 and I totally loved it.
The subdued colors make this piece very versatile for dressing up or down and it has a flattering high waist (more cake, pls). You can find it under the Show Me Your MuMu brand on the Rent the Runway app.
Sunshine Yellow Seersucker Jumpsuit
This yellow seersucker jumpsuit is a perfect summer staple. It’s so comfortable and cheery and I wore it several times while I had it. The Hutch Savannah Jumpsuit retails for $280.
I’m between sizes and decided to size up in this piece. It fit me alright, but I would recommend getting your true size or sizing down if you’re between sizes.
Heart-Print Red Dress
Celebrate love in this fiery red dress! This Kate Spade dress features a delicate heart print to suit the occasion perfectly.
This gorgeous Kate Spade number retails for a whopping $495 and I recommend sizing up a full size if you’re tall. This piece hurt to send back; it’s so beautiful and versatile. My size keeps getting booked up on the RTR app, so I must not be the only one loving this piece!
As always, reach out to me if you have any questions – I would love to help!
